“I've been to a couple of sessions at Resolve, with Tyler. Typically, I don't like being touched very much as it quickly leads to sensory overload, so I was apprehensive at first. At the beginning of our first session Tyler asked a number of pointed, but gentle, questions about why I was seeking massage therapy and what I was hoping to get out of it. I described my general aversion to touch and he was very understanding and encouraging, offering methods that we could use together to build trust and ensure I would feel comfortable. He gave me tools to express how I was feeling in the moment, levels of pressure and pain, and listened intently to everything I and my body said to him. Throughout the session he described everything he was going to do before he did it, continued to talk about it as he was doing it, and checked in frequently to ensure I still felt comfortable continuing--all greatly appreciated and exactly what I wanted. At the end of the session he acknowledged that, despite the point of the session being physical and mental relaxation, it was still therapy, and to take the experience and rest with it. He offered me pointers on self-massage and small exercises I could do to help with some of my daily pain, and recommended some of his colleagues for specific issues and experiences. This didn't feel like just a massage--it felt like a collaboration. I quickly booked a second session and I will certainly be booking more in the future, with him and other therapists at Resolve.” - Patrick

I had been working at a warehouse as a picker, and the work was so hard on the tendons and muscles in my hands that they would go numb at night unless I slept with a brace. MacKenzie got me set up with a monthly slot, and Ashley worked her magic on me. She was very intuitive and listened to my needs--she even showed me small things I could do at home to help alleviate pain and mobility issues. I can't say enough about how great this place is.
